Study in Italy 2027–28: University, Course and Scholarship Directory
Find Italy university guides, 12 English-taught course examples and official regional scholarship links. Build your 2027–28 shortlist with clear source and intake checks.
By Ali Zubair•October 20, 2026

A useful Italy shortlist starts with a course that fits your education, rather than a list of university names. This directory brings together our university admission guides, a selection of English-taught degrees and the official bodies to check for regional scholarship support.
Use it to choose what to research next. You can compare the six universities already covered on Study With Ali Zubair, open the official course information and keep admission and funding tasks on separate checklists.
Sources checked: 20 October 2026. The 12 course examples below are current official programme references. Their 2027–28 admission calls, deadlines, fees and applicant-specific requirements have not been verified here. A listed course does not mean applications are open. Confirm the academic year and your applicant category in the official call before applying.
START WITH THE ITALY ADMISSION PROCESS
For the overall application steps, read our existing Italy admission guide. Use this directory when you are ready to compare a particular university, course or funding route.

REGIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS: FIND THE RIGHT AWARDING BODY
Regional student support is often discussed under the name DSU, but the relevant organisation and annual rules differ. Check the body associated with your institution and campus. Benefits, financial requirements, academic conditions and deadlines depend on the applicable call. Admission and funding should be tracked separately.
University of Padua: Regional Veneto scholarship through the University of Padua
Start with the university’s regional scholarship page and its annual call.
Official information: https://www.unipd.it/en/borse-studio-regionali
University of Bologna: ER.GO
Check the regional benefits call and the documents for income or assets abroad.
Official information: https://www.er-go.it/international-students/focus-on-scholarship
Sapienza University of Rome: DiSCo Lazio
Use the right-to-study call covering the relevant institution and academic year.
Official information: https://laziodisco.it/
University of Turin: EDISU Piemonte
Read the annual notice and the international-student documentation guidance.
Official information: https://edisu.piemonte.it/en/scholarships-and-grants/financial-benefits/scholarship-and-grants
University of Pavia: EDiSU Pavia
Check the annual scholarship call and any earlier deadline for other requested benefits.
Official information: https://www.edisu.pv.it/en/services/call-for-ordinary-scholarship/
University of Pisa: DSU Toscana
Check the Tuscany scholarship call and the rules for the institution and degree level.
Official information: https://www.dsu.toscana.it/borsa-di-studio
The links above are official starting points checked on 20 October 2026. They do not confirm that a 2027–28 scholarship competition is open. Read the academic year printed on the linked call; previous-cycle dates and amounts must not be treated as new rules.
HOW TO BUILD YOUR ITALY SHORTLIST
1. Choose your degree level and subject
Start with the qualification you will hold before enrolment. For a master’s degree, compare your previous studies with the subject and credit requirements of the course. A relevant degree title alone may not establish eligibility.
2. Read the official programme and admission call
Check the teaching language, accepted language evidence, selection procedure, campus and applicant category. English-taught does not automatically mean a language test is waived. Save the call for the correct academic year.
3. Build a separate funding plan
Check the university’s tuition rules alongside the relevant scholarship notice. Record application charges, tuition, accommodation and travel separately. Do not rely on a scholarship that has not been awarded when working out what you can afford.
4. Keep three sets of dates
Use separate reminders for admission, scholarship applications and the steps after an offer. Record the deadline time and timezone where stated. An old timetable can help you prepare, but it does not establish a new deadline.
DOCUMENTS: PREPARE WHAT YOUR COURSE ACTUALLY REQUESTS
Create one folder for each course. Record the exact documents requested in its call, whether translations are needed and which items must be supplied later. Your planning checklist can include a passport, qualifications, transcripts, language evidence and any course-specific statement, CV or references. This is a preparation list; the institution decides which documents apply to you.
For scholarship applications, read the separate instructions about household and financial evidence, academic progress and any residence or accommodation conditions. Do not assume documents accepted for admission will also satisfy the funding body.
If you apply with Pakistani qualifications, check the university’s guidance for your qualification and applicant category before paying for translations, verification or recognition services. Follow the exact instructions you receive rather than assuming one document route applies to every university.
OFFICIAL APPLICATION RESEARCH
Use Universitaly’s course directory to widen your research, then read the institution’s own programme and admissions pages. Keep the official call as the source for course-specific decisions.

QUESTIONS STUDENTS ASK
Are all the courses listed here open for 2027–28?
No. These are official programme references to help you make a shortlist. A 2027–28 application is only confirmed when the relevant university publishes the applicable call and you check the opening date, deadline and applicant category.
Can I study in English without IELTS?
Teaching language and accepted language evidence are different questions. Read the programme’s rules for accepted tests, previous study in English and any exemptions. Do not assume the same rule applies across a university.
Does admission include a regional scholarship?
Do not assume it does. Regional benefits have their own calls, requirements and application procedures. An admission offer by itself does not confirm an award.
Which university should I apply to first?
Choose by academic fit, selection requirements, teaching language, costs and verified deadlines. There is no single best university for every applicant. Start with a few courses you can explain and document well.
Where can I watch Ali Zubair’s guidance?
Use Learn With Ali Zubair on YouTube for scholarship and study-abroad videos. Read the university or scholarship authority’s current instructions alongside any video guidance.

Before you submit: make sure the course, intake, applicant category, deadline and funding route in your notes all match the official instructions. That final check is more useful than sending an application with unresolved requirements.
